Community Outreach: We received thank you notes from Pinky Promise and Community Hospice for the generous donations our members have made. We are at 280 items donated so far for the year to a variety of organizations!

Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church Fundraising Quilt: To help support Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church in their community outreach efforts, some members put together a beautiful quilt depicting one of the church’s stained glass windows. This quilt will be auctioned off in January to raise money for UCOM, Sulzbacher Center, and the Food Pantry.

Challenges: The next challenge is a log cabin one in the colors of our Christmas party. See the Challenges page for more information.

QuiltFest: If you received a check for items sold at QuiltFest or awards, please deposit the checks as soon as possible.

2026 Jax MQG Officers: We elected our 2026 officers. Three of the four officers from this year (Alison – President, Bonnie – VP, and Debbie – Secretary) will continue next year. Amy G. will be our new treasurer.

Sew & Tell

We had a great sew and tell with members sharing their completions. Note that you can bring in a previously completed project if you want to share it with the guild.

November Program

Our November program was a presentation on portrait collage quilts by Cindy Richards. She is a globally recognized fiber artist whose quilts have been exhibited and won awards throughout North America, Europe, and Israel. She has two books, coauthored with Phyllis Cullen available through Amazon.

She presented a lecture and trunk show on how she has created these works of art.
