The June meeting was all about celebrating the 10 year birthday of JAXMQG! We had 53 members attend the JAXMQG June meeting. We also welcomed 3 visitors: Caeli B., Jennifer H., and Trish B. To document the momentous occasion we gathered for an official JAXMQG 10 year birthday party photo!!!
Everyone enjoyed cake, ice cream, games, socializing and festive decor! There were amazing goody bags that one member per table won! Guild members made an abundance of FUN colorful layer cake and gift box blocks. Member Sara D. was the lucky winner of half of the blocks! The other half of the blocks will be made into a charity quilt. We were honored to have three of the JAXMQG founding members present at the party: Angela W., Candi L., and Jessie S.!! BIG thanks to the amazing volunteer party team : Christina F., Franci S., Eve V., Gale W., and Karen K.!
Meeting winners! Maryann M. won the 50/50 drawing, Trish B. won the door prize, and Ruth J. won the drawing for blocks made in the SIMULTANEOUS CONTRAST challenge!
QUILTFEST JAX UPDATES! Bonnie T. handed out a Quiltfest reference guide (authored by Candi L. for sister guilds). A link to this reference guide is now included on the QuiltFest Jax members only webpage : JAXMQG Quiltfest JAX web page!
RETREATS! JAXMQG June 27 – 30 No Frills retreat! It is retreat month for everyone signed up! There are still a few open spots so please share the registration link with others: NO FRILLS RETREAT REGISTRATION!

- The Art Nouveau challenge hosted by Deb B. is due in July!
- THE OPTICAL ILLUSION block challenge!! This is a new challenge announced by Eve V. This challenge is foundation project using white & black solids! Please review all the details on the dedicated current challenge webpage! Blocks are due in July!
JUNE SHOW AND SHARE was amazing. Thanks to member Adele R. for the photos and Laura B. for organizing the line up! We love all the fun MAZE quilts members completed recently in the April Malka Dubrawsky workshop!
