The 2023 QUILTCON Community Outreach quilt was on display at Quiltfest JAX and received numerous compliments! It is a truly stunning quilt and kudos for a superb group effort! The quilt will be on display also at the October meeting.

2023 IMPROV SEW ALONG : Starting in January Adele will facilitate a group sew along referencing the Victoria Findlay Wolfe book: 15 minutes of play : Improv Quilts. This sew along is completely optional with fun opportunities such as scrap swaps and critiques. You can participate a little or alot– it will be totally up to you!

OCTOBER CHALLENGE was introduced by Sylvia D., Eva G, and Susan B. The challenge is for guild members to make hanging fabric HEARTS FOR HOSPICE. The goal is for the guild to make 100 HEARTS in FALL or CHRISTMAS colors/theme! The hearts are distributed to hospice patients as a ‘gift of love’. Oooh… and there will be a PRIZE for the top two quilters that make the most hearts and turn in at the October meeting. Instructions for making the 6 inch decorated fabric HEARTS were distributed at the meeting and will also be attached to the upcoming newsletter.
