Our hostess extraordinaire, Franci S. organized such a fantastic party for us!
We had pizza, ice cream, games, prizes and lots of laughter! And the winners smiled big! Christina F. and Margaret D. won the poem games. Kim B. and MaryAnn M. won the Left Right Center games. Chris P. won the amazing FQ bundle door prize! And our visitor Destiny won the memory game!
Speaking of visitors, we had 5 visitors today! 2 of them joined before leaving, welcome to our newest members Diana D and Barb J. Two more plan on joining next month, we look forward to seeing you again Diane and Susan. And Destiny said she will visit us again; we look forward to it! In total, we had 32 quilters present.
The show and share was amazing as usual! Look at this wonderful talent.

We took a break from the quilt block lottery this month to contribute blocks to a charity drive Franci organized. Members pieced pineapple blocks in yellow and white, and/or patriotic blocks for Quilt of Valor quilt. We had a fantastic turnout of blocks! If anyone is interested in helping Franci put the blocks together, the next sew-in will happen on August 6th and Franci will bring the blocks.

The Block lottery will return for the August meeting. The challenge will be a star block of any pattern, made with yellow fabric for the star, and a dark blue to dark purple background, 12.5” unfinished.
Upcoming events:
August 6th: sew-in at Pablo Creek Library 10- 2:30. Franci will be sewing the charity blocks into tops, come help her if you wish.
August 28th: Meeting at Spring Glen UMC at 2 PM.
That’s a wrap for now! See you all soon.
