Our January meeting is just around the corner and is going to be the beginning of a great year for the JAXMQG. The officers and board have been meeting to get some really exciting things on board for the upcoming year. Don’t miss the meeting to hear all about it.
At the January meeting, we will be announcing a new challenge and asking each person to participate in a survey to get a better idea of what kind of programs each member would like to see.
One of the things we will doing at the January meeting is a swap. Bring any fabric, tool, book or magazine that you no longer want and swap it with your quilting friends. One quilter’s unused stash is another one’s “just what I’m looking for”!
We are also gonna have a Member’s Trunk Show. Bring some of your favorite quilty finishes to show off your modern quilting skills. You may have shared it at a previous meeting but with so many new faces, it’ll be exciting to revisit some of those awesome masterpieces.
Also, anyone participating in the Murder Mystery Quilt Along is welcome to bring their finished block for month 1 for show and tell. We are looking into getting a guild discount as several members have signed to participate in this quilt along. There is still time to join in! It’s a block per month along with a chapter of a Murder mystery. The blocks are clues to whodunit. The first chapter was well written and quite a fun read!
