Come join us at our next official
meeting on Saturday, October 29th.
We are so excited that thanks to the main library downtown, we will now have a permanent space just for us. The library has created the Jax Makerspace and they have invited us to use some of that space where we can hold our meetings, have sew-ins, display our quilts, and maybe hold a future Jacksonville Modern Quilt Show. This space will also give us an opportunity to share our knowledge and excitement of modern quilting to the public by holding workshops on quilting and sewing. The possibilities are endless. You’ve got to come down and see the space. The address for the downtown library is 303 N. Laura St, click here for directions. Since it is a Saturday, there is lots of parking available (for free) on the street but there is also library parking behind the library off of W. Duval St. Our meeting starts at 10:30 a.m. and goes to about noon. We will have a sew-in afterwards and people are welcome to work on anything they want or they can join in with some of us working on the QuiltCon 2017 charity quilt.
We hope to see you there!
