A warm welcome to members and visitors alike. We had a busy and productive April meeting.

Bylaws and Officers:
Our bylaws were approved by unanimous vote. The bylaws are posted on our website for viewing.
The 2014-2015 Guild officers were introduced. They are:
President – Robin McCallister
Vice President – Angela Williams
Treasurer – Yvonne Wecker
Secretary – Candi Lennox
The officers will assume their duties immediately and will remain in office until our 2015 election period.
We also introduced our new Programs Coordinator, Ruthee Wilson, who gave a brief overview of future programs to be scheduled.
Membership Drive:
We have officially begun collecting membership dues in anticipation of filing our formal membership paperwork with the Modern Quilt Guild following the May meeting.
Dues are $35 for members (18 and over), and $25 for junior members (13-17). We request that all members please submit your dues at the May meeting, or as soon as possible thereafter. If you are a new member, in addition to bringing your dues to next month’s meeting, you will need to complete our membership form which can be found on our website. Checks, cash or money orders will be accepted. A PayPal link will be set up on our website for payments in the near future.
Meeting Date and Venue Change:
Beginning in May our meeting day and location will change. Going forward, our meetings will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month at the South Mandarin Regional Library located at 12125 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223-2636. This move has been made in anticipation of future growth and the necessity of a larger meeting space. We will continue having sew-ins and plan on scheduling those in the near future. Please check our website for schedule updates.
