The JAXMQG January meeting was an exciting start to the new year! We met in our new spacious location with new President Sarah S. and Vice President Abbey J.!! We had a full house with 61 members attending the meeting. We extend a warm welcome to 7 new members: Nelda A., Lynn Y., Joan O., Amy G., Margot B., Alina C., and Denise B.! We were happy to have 6 visitors at the meeting and hope to see them again soon : L. Greene, Alison M., Debbie H., Elizabeth H., Janel B., and Susan M.
Did you know that 2024 is the JAXMQG tenth anniversary! To kick off the celebration President Sarah S. and VP Abbey J. are hosting a fun PAINT CHIP challenge! Quiltfest Jax update: Congratulations and THANKS to our 2024 JAXMQG representatives on the Quiltfest JAX board: Sara D., Paula F., Ashley M., Margaret D., Donna T., and Bonnie T.! Please remember there are plenty of volunteer opportunities for any member interested in helping with Quiltfest JAX tasks leading up to the show!
Leader recognition & thanks! Past president Candi L. was surprised with an adorable quilt featuring personalized girl blocks made by guild members. Past presidents (attending the meeting) Angie W., Margaret P., and Adele R., were also presented with a cute quilted thank you gift! Many thanks to Christina F. for a great job taking the initiative start to finish!
The January demo / program was provided by Abbey J. She showed so many cute samples of her decorative garland / buntings! Many members were interested to learn her technique and tips to make the cheery decorations! Thanks Abbey for a great demo!

The first Show and Tell of 2024 was fantastic and awe inspiring! Many thanks to Adele R. for the photography and Laura B. for the show coordination! Candi L. did a great job as our stage hand/Vanna!
