Well, 2018 was a great year for the Jax MQG and we ended it with a bang! The guild started out with just a few members and has grown to over 40! Another member joined at this meeting. Welcome, Kim! We enjoyed a great improv class with Debra Jalbert and a “Spooktacular Retreat” hosted by Yvonne. There were sit and sews each month and our big Quiltcon Charity Quilt project came to fruition with the help of lots of our members. There are too many things to mention here, but let’s just say it was a great year and long lasting friendships were made.
Our final meeting of the year was our Christmas Party hosted by Franci Sheffield! Franci did an amazing job of organizing all the food, games, decorations, centerpieces, etc….
The party was held at our newish meeting place, Christ United Methodist Church, and the set up was cozy….Franci even made everyone Christmas napkins!
After our meal, Franci had us play the game “Pass the Parcel”. The prize winner was……

Then onto our second game of Left, Right, Center…….and the winner was…..

We then had a drawing for the centerpieces on the table and also a drawing for our UFO club…..Kate won 1/2 the pot that was collected for the UFO’s!! $$$$$$
Just a reminder, it’s time for everyone to pay their 2019 dues…..we have lots in store for next year and we don’t want anyone to miss out! There is a class in January and only dues paying members can attend!! Thanks to all of you who made this year so much fun. We really do have a great group!
