Happy Monday, Sewing People!!
Just wanted to let you all know of some things we have planned for our upcoming monthly meeting on July 29th, 2018. It’s gonna be fun!
First, we are having a Quiltcon 2019 Charity Quilt Kick-Off Party! The theme is “Tiny Pieces” and the color pallet can be seen here:

We will have a sign up for those of you that want to participate and there will be block “kits” provided with instructions and also a finished sample block for you to see what we are trying to achieve.
The Guild will be providing sandwich fixin’s, drinks and chips. We will have a sign up on Facebook for some sides and desserts. So keep a lookout for that!
ALSO! We will be playing a game with guess what? FABRIC!! If you would like to participate, please bring a Fat Quarter of your favorite modern fabric. Something that you love and you think someone else might love too!
Next, we will be having a FUNdraiser! We will be selling JaxMQG tee shirts and canvas bags to promote our guild and modern quilting and to raise a little money for some future programs. This is what they look like:
There will be several for purchase on-site and we will also put in an order for more sizes in the tees and more bags too. Tee Shirts are $18 and bags are $22 – cash, check and charge available!! These items are a great way to show JaxMQG pride and will be great to wear to Quilt Fest and Quiltcon!
and FINALLY, Sew Modern Chicky will have a pop-up shop at the party! She will be bringing all her modern bolts and bundles, some patterns and notions. She carries fabric from Cotton + Steel, Tula Pink, Alison Glass, Jennifer Paganelli, Libs Elliott, Hoffman, Art Gallery, Anna Maria Horner, Pat Bravo and more.
