Charity Quilt donated to H.E.A.L

The executive director of H.E.A.L (Helping Enrich Autistic Lives) picked up this 2016 Quiltcon Charity Quilt to auction off at their Gala on February 22, 2018.

The quilt is titled “Out of Chaos, A Star is Born”.  The challenge theme that year was Improv with Intent.  The challenge leader was Jen Paetzold and was an improv guru!  It was quilted by Candi Lennox.  Yvonne Wecker made the label, sewed the binding and made the hanging sleeve.

We were very glad to be able to donate this beauty to raise funds for H.E.A.L.  The mission of the HEAL Foundation is inspiring, educating and funding services for those affected by autism in our community.  Their vision is to make our community the best place to live for those affected by autism. They are a non-profit in Northeast Florida.  Through grants they support organizations serving those with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  More information can be found at http://www.healautismnow.org  If this donation is successful for them and they are willing, we may be making more quilts for them to auction off in the future!
