November Meeting Highlights

It was a short and sweet meeting, you can read the minutes here.

Ted announced (via text message) the new officers that will serve the JMQG starting January 2016 through December 2017. Since the nominations were unopposed, no election was needed. The officers are as follows:

President: Robin McCallister .

Vice President: Adele Rivers

Treasurer: Yvonne Wecker

Secretary: Sara David

Thanks to all four of you for volunteering. Hooray! We are ready for 2016!

Jaime won the old to new blocks BOM!

Ok, a couple of reminders before I show you photos from our fabulous show and tell. There will be no meeting in December, instead we will be having a Christmas party at Ruth’s house (thank you very much for hosting us, Ruth) on December 12th, starting at 6 PM. Please watch your e-mails for an RSVP and food sign-up list as well as directions to Ruth’s house.

We will have a filled stocking swap at the party, you can find the rules here. And for round robin participants, the big reveal will happen during the party. All rounds should be finished and finished tops need to be present at the party. If you are unable to attend the party, please coordinate to get the top there, and thank you! I am so looking forward to the reveal, it will be fantastic!

Ok, so back to November’s show and tell. I’d love to start with this little cute guy that Janette brought to show us made by a quilter who knew about another quilter 🙂 Adorable!

As usual, the amazing Ruth wowed us with not one, but two finished quilts (fronts and backs):

Joan showed us the clever growth chart she made for Ruth’s grandson:
