Hello guild members (and visitors)!
As some of you may know, our guild was invited to present modern quilting to Coastal Quilters Guild on August 7th. Robin, Angie and Candi have been working on putting together a presentation and we need your help! If you have a quilt, quilt top or blocks that show the essence of modern quilting, please consider bringing them to the meeting this Saturday so we can use them for showing off modern quilting. Think wonky, asymmetrical, minimalist, quilts that show lots of negative space or use bold colors. They don’t need to show every aspect of modern quilting, but we want quilts that are modern since this is what we are presenting. If you are unsure, bring them anyway and we’ll discuss them during the meeting.
If you do bring us quilts/tops/blocks to borrow (and I hope you do), please attach a paper to the back with your name and number to make sure we get the right quilts to the right people.
Also remember our July BOM ; make two blocks if you can. One for the block lotto, and one for a charity quilt.
We will be discussing organization. What? Yes! Fabrics, patterns, books, rulers, threads, we know you have them and we know you are so organized:) Come armed with ideas and examples (if you dare) and lets give each other ideas for hiding organizing our fabrics.
See you all on Saturday at 1030 am at the South Mandarin Library.
